Student Use Policies
  1. Any student coming to the media center during school hours must be escorted by a teacher.

Students are allowed to check out two books for one week. Items may be renewed up to two times if necessary.

  1. Students may not check out audiovisual materials and equipment, including videos. Students may arrange with the media specialist to view a video in the media center if absent or if necessary for a project.

  2. Students are not to loan media center materials checked out in their name to other students. Nor should students expect others to return materials for them. The student checking out the material will be held responsible for any items not returned to the media center.

  3. Students with overdue materials are not allowed to check out additional materials.

  4. Copyright guidelines will be strictly followed for all photocopies for school projects only.

  5. Food and drinks are not allowed in the media 6. center.

Fees and Fines
  1. Overdue fines for students are 10¢ a day per book for each school day.

  2. Student overdue notices will be issued regularly. Fines should be paid as soon as possible.

  3. Students are also responsible for the replacement costs of lost or damaged books. The replacement cost is the purchase price shown after the title on notices.

  4. Report cards will be held at the end of grading periods for students having overdue books and/or fines.

  5. Seniors must clear all fines and lost book charges to participate in the graduation ceremony at their base school.

Student Internet Use

Students may access the Internet in the media center if they have a signed Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) on file. Any misuse of the Internet will result in a discipline referral and the privilege of computer use will be revoked school wide. Students are to use the Internet for class assignments only. Computer usage is monitored.
